Hi guys !
I’m happy to be back today to continue to share with you our second day in Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia. After the visit of Chinatown in the morning we walked through Merdeka square. On the road we met a pretty mosque, the mosque Masjid Jamek. We didn’t want to visit the inside of it to earn some time and also because we are living in a muslin country and we still didn’t visit any mosque yet in Bahrain. However I planned to visit the textile national museum to learn more about batik technics and others fabrics typical in Malaysia. I wished I had more time to visit this museum but at the same time I didn’t want to lose to many time inside as we had other things to visit in the afternoon. The entrance cost only 5 RM so don’t worry you won’t get broke to visit this museum. I really recommend this museum if like me you love to learn more about fashion or costume history.
After the visit of the museum we took some photos in Merdeka square located just near the textiles museum. This place is really pretty with a pretty building. It’s a perfect place to take pictures. And I was so surprise to see not that many tourists. I don’t know if it’s because we visited Malaysia in September and it was the great time to not have a crowd in front of every touristic posts or if it’s just all the times like that. But it doesn’t matter because it was really nice to not see that many peoples around and it’s a lot better to take pictures. Merdeka square is an important place because this is where Malaysia declared their independence in 1957. Then we made a little break in a shop just near this place to have a little snack before to call a taxi using the app Grab to go through the Lake gardens to visit the birds park. Once we arrived at the entrance of the Birds park we ate at the restaurant located just near the entrance. It was a nice place to eat in front of a pretty view of the park. At the entrance of the birds park I met my first monkeys. How excited I was ! There was not a day in Malaysia without expecting to meet new monkeys. We couldn’t stop to check the trees during our whole trip. So I couldn’t end this article without sharing with you some pictures of this cute monkeys. But I have to admit I was not so confident to be near them because before to go to Malaysia I heard so many crazy stories about monkey bitting the tourists so I was really careful because I really didn’t want to end the day at the hospital to get a rabies shot. And of course I never tried to pet a monkey even if they look super cute I think it’s better to be suspicious when you met any monkeys. By the way in a lot of touristic spots you can met some signs telling you to be really careful to not get bit and not fed the monkey as it’s mostly the reason why they can get aggressive.
I’m letting you here with monkeys pictures and I’ll probably share with you the visit of the Lake gardens next week or the next week after this. I don’t want to lose you with that many pictures and inside the park I really did take a ton of pictures,
I hope you enjoyed this article,
