Hello !
Before my trip back to France to visit my family I planned a list of activities and places I wanted to do or re-do. Clisson was one of the place I really wanted to visit. It’s at only 30 minutes away of Nantes but I never visited this city before. The architectures of this medieval city has some Italian vibes. It was super nice to stroll around this city at the end of an afternoon even if the day we were there the weather was not great. France was also still in curfew when we visited so we’re not able to stay as long as we wish. The castle was in refurbishment and I think we also arrived too late to visit it. The halles ( the market place) were also in refurbishment but the google images made it really worth it to stop by. Besides all of this we still had a great time to be in this really photogenic city. I love the view with the castle and the bridge. Inside a park I was so surprised to met a little squirrel. It may sounds odd for some of you but in France it’s not commun to see a squirrel because usually they’re really wild and shy. Clisson is the kind of city I would love to live at when my husband would be in retirement if the houses were of course more affordable. Did you even heard about Clisson ? May you have because Clisson is also the place where a big festival takes places eveyyear (in normal times). It’s the Hellfest which is one of the biggest hard rock, metal festival in Europe.
Des bisous, xx
Margot
Merci beaucoup

Haha yes but this is not in the center I think It’s mostly in the fields. But some of the habitant have been complaining about it since It’s really loud when the festival takes places. But fortunately for them It lasts only few days.
It looks so beautiful and serene there! It certainly would be a great place to retire.

Yes It definitely would be. 🙂
Hey Margot, I hope you’re having a nice month so far!
I wanted to check this new travel blog post so much since the short preview you showed on Instagram reminded me a little bit of the town showed on “Beauty and the beast”, some of the little houses in Clisson really look like the ones in Belle’s hometown!
I loved the architecture in this place and the fact that it is really easy to go walking from one point to another, like many old places in Europe. I also think you choosed a really nice outfit for the venue: comfortable but feminine at the same time, you should wear the combination of skirt + hoodie more often!
All the best!

Oh I didn’t think about ” Beauty and the beast” but you’re definitely right.
There are actually so many towns and cities in France with a ” Beauty and the beast” vibes.
Being away from France made me so amaze to realize we have castles in every city.
I really wish I could wear skirt+hoodie more often. But unfortunately I rarely wear hoodies here.
Hello,
comment vas tu?
Bisous
