DIY – A daisies embroidery dress for my birthday

J’espère que vous allez bien. Je suis contente de vous retrouver aujourd’hui pour enfin partager avec vous l’article sur la robe que je me suis faite pour mon anniversaire. Une robe brodée de marguerites inspirée par la marque Selkie. Le tissu en tulle brodée de marguerites vient d’Etsy. J’aurais pas pu rêver d’un meilleur tissu pour me créer une robe pour mon anniversaire. La marguerite est la fleur la plus symbolique à mes yeux comme le prénom Margot vient du prénom Marguerite. J’ai créée le patron de la robe moi-même mis à part les manches qui viennent d’un patron vintage des années 80. Je vous laisse découvrir tout le processus de création dans la vidéo ci-dessous. J’espère que les photos prisent dans un pré dans ma campagne en France vous plairont. J’ai également ajouté quelques photos que j’avais pris de mon balcon avant notre séjour en France, pour que l’on voit mieux certains détails de la robe.

I hope you’re all doing good. I’m happy to be back today to finally share with you all the article concerning the dress I made for my birthday. It’s a daisies embroidered dress inspired by the brand Selkie. The daisies embroidered tulle comes from Etsy. I couldn’t dream about a better fabric to create a dress for my past birthday. The daisy is a really symbolic flower for me as my name Margot comes from the name Marguerite in French which means daisy. I self crafted mostly of this dress. I only used a 80’s vintage pattern for the sleeves. I let you watch all the creative process in the video just below. I hope it’ll be interesting and I hope you’ll enjoy as well the pictures I took in a field in my countryside in France. I also added some pictures I took on my balcony before our trip in France to see better the dress.

    Such an amazing result! Bravo and this is truly a dream! It is totally the style you tend to show on the blog but two levels beyond and you’re getting better at making your pieces.

    The selection of the fabric is really good but also the pattern and the shape you created for the final result. It is encouraging to see how you were adapting some parts of the original pattern in order to have a result.

    And the photos are really magical, like a fashion editorial!

    PS: loved the Mickey Mouse t-shirt you have in the video haha

    J’adore les marguerites, je cherche chaque printemps à en planter dans le jardin de mes parents mais je ne trouve pas, je ne dois pas assez bien chercher !
    Ta robe est super jolie, tout comme toi d’ailleurs 🙂

      Chez mes parents il y’en a beaucoup des sauvages dans la campagne. C’est superbe. A chaque fois ils me les envoient en photos. J’espère que tu vas en trouver. J’en vois parfois en jachère.
