DIY – A Christmas dress

Hello !

I hope everything’s good for you. I’m finally sharing with you all the details about the dress I made for Christmas. I made it with the help of a vintage pattern found on Etsy. I wish It was 5cm longer to avoid the length to be ultra short when I raise my arms but besides that I’m really happy how it turned out. It’s exactly what I had in mind. I can’t wait to wear it every year during Christmas time. Like usual I’m sharing with you a video of all the creative process. In this video you could see all my wonders during the realization of this dress and also the little problems I met. I hope you’ll enjoy it.

Des bisous, xx

  1. Hello again Margot!

Nice to see the process behind your creation, since sometimes we don’t appreciate the work behind a garment as much! So it is nice to see how you pile up references and then work on the pattern and even put a lot of love in the details.

My favorite part was to find out how you added the collar, i have seen this type of collar a lot on blogs and stores these days and it was a nice addition to make it a little more modern!

PS: You’re really good at sketching!

    1. Thanks you so much !
It means a lot to me you think theses videos matter.
Sometimes it’s definitely a lot of brainstorming to get a satisfying result.
And that’s means a lot to from a graphic designer to hear my sketch is good haha 🙂
