DIY – A witch hat

Hello !

Je vous retrouve aujourd’hui avec une première vidéo de la conception de mon costume d’Halloween. Oui je vais encore vous ennuyer un petit peu avec mon costume de gentille sorcière le temps que je partager avec vous les trois vidéos de la conception de chaque pièce. Je pense que c’est intéressant de vous montrer comment j’ai procédé, non ?

Ici, je partage avec vous tout le processus de création concernant le chapeau de sorcière, j’espère que ça vous plaira et que vous irez regarder la vidéo. Comme vous le verrez dans la vidéo quand je débute un nouveau projet je ne suis jamais sûre quelle idée sera la bonne. Je me pose toujours pleins de questions pour être certaine d’avoir un résultat qui me convient le plus possible.

I’m back today with the first video of the creation of my Halloween costume. I’m sorry I’m still gonna bother you a little bit with my good witch costume. I’m gonna post 3 videos for each piece I created. But I thought it could be interesting to show you how I made all the pieces. What do you think ?

Here I’m sharing with you all the creative process of the witch hat. I hope you’ll watch the video and you’ll enjoy it. As you gonna see when I start something I never know how it’s gonna turn out or which idea will be the best. But I always do my best to try to have best result. Oh and I’m sorry for my English which can be quite broken sometimes ha’!

  1. Hey Margot, how you doing?! I hope you had a nice week so far!

    Actually I was visiting the blog to check up on the look…. so it is the next post I’m seeing to catch all the details (it looked good on Instagram tho but I always like to read the whole story, specially if it about a so detailed costume!).

    Your processes are so good to see because they show us that any piece takes a certain time to be created, not only sewing and hancrafting it, but also through the way of do a little research of find references and inspiration…. I liked how you did the base (with the cardboard) sometimes you could not imagine that many of the things we see out there are created from a rough material that anybody could find…. but of course then is when the tricks, creativity and all the learning are put into work haha!

    Gonna check the whole story of the look! 🙂

    1. I actually didn’t keep the idea of the cardboard because at the end I thought it was gonna look to thick and not natural enough.
      But I all agree with you. 🙂
