Mini green broderie anglaise dress

Green-mini-dress5

Hi guys !

I hope you had a wonderful week-end. I’m back today with a new look. I’m wearing a dress from the Asos design collection.  You may have already seen this dress in one of the haul I shared with you but until now I didn’t share any pictures on the blog. It’s a perfect dress for summer. I love its green color and the broderie anglaise on the fabric. (By the way do you say English embroidery or you keep the French words « broderie anglaise » to describe this embroidery in english ? ). Its straight cut is different from others dresses I have in my closet and the detail I’m in love with this dress is its belt in the back. The belt is also pretty useful to shape the dress following your body. Here I’m wearing this dress simply with a pair of wedges in dots from Zara, a bow in dots in my hair and few golden jewelry. I don’t know if you can tell on the pictures but this morning when I took those I was really hot. It’s that hot that sometimes when I go out with my camera the lens got steam on it. That’s why 2 or 3 pictures here are not as constructed than the others.

What do you think of this look ?

  1. Hello Margot! I had a relaxed weekend, I took the time to watch Onward, what about you? 🙂

I love the summer pieces you’re showing with your own personal style! I love the idea that this dress can stand by itself since the color has a strong personality, would like to get something in that specific tone that totally reminds me of day at the park for example.

I didn’t know the exact name of this embroidery, but maybe the term in French sounds better as it happens to be with fashion terms. Is it fresh? I just found out that the name is practically the same in spanish: bordado inglés 🙂

All the best and stay safe!

    1. Yes I love the color of this dress ! 🙂
And it’s what I wonder too because I know a lot of fashion terms stay in French. But some terms get translated in a total different way following the language.
Translation work can be sometime really funny right ?
      Thanks you a lot.

  2. I love that green dress paired with those platform sandals! It’s the perfect summer outfit! Thanks for sharing! 🙂

  3. Your mini green dress is so cute!! I love the patterns and it is perfect for the weather. I haven’t seen that green being rocked before. It really works well without being so flashy! Love the wedges too!
