Hi guys ! 

On débute cette nouvelle semaine avec un nouveau look d’été pour aller à la plage. Je n’arrive pas à croire que l’année dernière on a jamais profité de la plage qui se situe juste derrière notre lotissement. Je pense qu’il a fallu du temps pour s’habituer aux températures Bahraini. Mais, il faut dire qu’on habite littéralement au bord de l’eau et quand on voulait nager il suffisait de sauter de notre balcon. Mais l’année dernière l’eau du lagon était tellement chaude qu’on n’arrivait même pas à se baigner dedans. Alors j’espère que cet été l’eau de la mer ne sera pas aussi chaude car on est décidés à aller à la plage au moins une fois par semaine. Ça permet aussi de s’échapper un peu de la maison vu qu’il y’a peu de chances qu’on puisse quitter Bahrain dans les semaines voir même mois à venir. 

Let’s start this new week with a new summer look to go at the beach. I can’t believe last year we never stayed at this beach which is located just behind our neighborhood.  I think we needed times to get used to the Bahreini summer temperatures or maybe the reason was because we literally live by the water and when we wanted to have a good swim we just had to jump from our balcony. Last year the water of the lagoon was really hot tho. It was that hot it was not enjoyable to swim in. So I hope this summer the sea won’t be as hot at the beach because this year we really want to keep going at the beach at least once a week. Or maybe we’re really into beach afternoon right now because there is a lot of chance we won’t be able to leave Bahrain in the next weeks or even in the next months so going at the beach it’s just a good escape from home. 

En tout cas j’adore ces moments à la plage avec hubby. On ne reste pas longtemps, environ une heure à chaque fois car il fait beaucoup trop chaud pour rester au soleil sur sa serviette. Tous le temps qu’on est sur la plage on reste dans l’eau. Et c’est incroyable tellement c’est facile de rentrer dans l’eau. Hier encore plus que la semaine dernière. J’ai regardé sur internet et l’eau était à 30 degrés. 30 degrés !! C’est fou non ? Moi qui est grandit à une demi-heure des plages de l’atlantique. Ça me change ! En parlant températures, il commence à faire si chaud ici. Je pense que ça se verra sur les photos. Je commence à tester moins de poses, haha !  Et je pense que ce sera l’une des dernières fois où l’on prend des photos en plein milieu de journée. Comme pour aller à la plage, on commence à trouver la bonne heure pour y aller : 16h-17h quand le soleil est plus bas. Il fait toujours aussi chaud car les températures baissent rarement en dessous de 30 meme en pleine nuit mais entre 35 et 40 degrés, je vous jure on sent la différence ! haha ! 40 degrés c’est vraiment l’horreur surtout avec le taux d’humidité. Arf’ ! Bref’ j’arrête de parler météo et passons à la tenue que je portais hier.

But I love our beach moments with hubby. We don’t stay long, only a hour or two because it’s way too hot for just laying down at the sun. And by the time we’re at the beach we’re mostly in the water. It’s crazy how easy it is to get inside the water. Yesterday was even easier than last week. When we came home I looked online and the water was at 30 degrees celsius about 86 degrees Fahrenheit. Is it not crazy ? I grew up at an half of hour to the Atlantic Ocean and it’s definitely not the same temperatures. I was used to chill water. Talking about temperature it’s starting to be really hot here, over 100 Fahrenheit degrees. And I think you can notice in the pictures I didn’t want to try too many different poses, haha.  I think it’ll be one of our last time to take pictures during the middle of the day. We also found the perfect timing to go at the beach, around 4 or 5 pm it’s the best time when the sun is getting lower. It rarely goes under 86 fahreineit degrees even during the night but between 95  or  over 100 fahreineit degrees we do feel the difference ! :). Over 100 fahreineit degrees is too much. The humidity is Arrgh ! Haha. Well’ let’s stop talking about the weather and let’s talk about the outfit I was wearing yesterday. 

Un vrai look pour aller à la plage avec ce tee-shirt Bershka que je porte depuis au moins deux ans. Je l’adore ! J’adore son message en franglais qui me rappelle notre relation avec hubby et moi. ( Pour les nouveaux, je suis française et mon mari est américain ). A chaque fois que je rentre en France l’été je l’emmène aussi dans ma valise pour nos journées plages. Et je le porte ici, avec une jupe-short Stradivarius blanche d’une ancienne collection. J’adore cette jupe, Il y’a tellement de façons de la porter. Je pense que c’est l’un de mes basiques préférés d’été. Le tout accompagné de sandales rouges. Certains les trouveront surement banales mais moi je les adore. Je me souviens encore du jour où je les ai trouvé en magasin en Corée du sud. Pour des tongs, je les avais trouvé un peu chic. Et j’ai accessoirisé cette tenue avec ma capeline d’amour que mes parents m’ont offert à Noël l’année dernière. J’aime tellement ce chapeau et puis il couvre tellement bien le visage. C’est mon meilleur allié de nos journées plages. Des chapeaux de paille, j’en veux encore et encore tellement j’adore accessoirisé mes tenues avec un accessoire sur la tête. 🙂 En bref rien de neuf dans ce look mais un look avec que des pièces que je porte et reporte chaque été. 

A beach look with this Bershka tee-shirt I got few years ago. I love this tee-shirt. I love its message in Frenchglish. It reminds me of our relationship with my husband. (For newbies, I’m French and hubby is American ). And every time I go home in France I bring this tee shirt in my suitcase for any beach days to the west coast. I’m also wearing a white mini skort. I love this summer item as there is so many ways to wear it. It’s such a great basic, maybe one of my favorite summer basics I own in my closet. And I matched this outfit with theses red sandals. I got theses in Korea and I still remember the day I picked them as I thought there were different. There are really simple but with the buckle detail I think it looks a little bit more chic than casual sandals. And I accessorized the all outfit with my favorite hat my parents bought for me last year for Christmas. I absolutely love this capeline hat. It covers so well the face. It’s my favorite ally for any beach days. I love straw hats so much. It’s one of my favorite accessory. One day I’ll have tons of hats. 🙂 So nothing new in this outfit but a look with clothes and accessories I wear over and over every summer. 

P.S : Malheureusement on a pris les photos à marée basse mais je trouve pas ça si gênant. Au final quand on est retourné à la plage pour se baigner, la marée avait déjà bien montée et il y’avait beaucoup plus de monde. Ce week-end marque la fin du ramadan pour les musulmans et pour les américains c’est le memorial week end alors je pense que tout le monde s’était donné le mot sur cette petite plage mais on a fait attention de ne coller personne mis à part nos 3 amis qui nous accompagnait. Et la plage était tellement moins calme avec une dizaine de jet ski, 5 bâteaux… donc entre la marée basse ou les jet skis en arrière plan je pense qu’on a quand même bien choisit notre moment pour prendre ces photos. 🙂

Dites-moi quelles sont vos vêtements ou accessoires d’été préférés qui vous suivent d’années en années ? 

P.S : Unfortunately we took theses photos during low tide but I think it’s still ok. When we went back to the beach later in the afternoon for our swimming time it get high tide pretty quick but there was a lot of peoples on the beach. This week end is the end of the ramadan and it’s also the Memorial Day week end for the Americans so I think that’s why there was a lot of people on the beach. Of course we made sure to not get too close of the people except our 3 friends we invited to stay at the beach with us. But it was crazy how this beach was not as quiet with a dozen of jet skis and around 5 boats… So between low tide and jet ski I think low tide was still a better time to take the pictures :).

  1. Hey Margot! Another great look to take the beach (or at least try to arrive, here it is full of people too since the lockdown started to get relaxed).

    You’re lucky to have the sea next by your hood, to look at the sea is something that I do not take for granted and the experience is very relaxing and mind cleaning. Actually I can arrive to the beach by walking more or less 20 minutes, so that’s great.

    I loved all the look, but the t-shirt is the most cool piece in the combo, it is funny how you can mix languages sometimes, specially if you’re living with someone from another country, so let’s embrace this kind of quirky situations! The typography in the t-shirt is very cool, gonna take a look at Bershka to see if I get something in the same happy summer feeling 🙂

    1. I know I’ll miss this view so much when we’ll have to move out.
      And I feel you sea views are so relaxing. But I’m hoping to have one day a countryside view which I think are just as relaxing 🙂
      Oh but that’s really cool to live close to the sea too. I didn’t know. 20 mins by walking ! It’s really good 🙂

      Yes sometimes I literally lose my French haha. 🙂

  8. C’est fou d’habiter à ce point au bord de l’eau, quelle chance ! Pourtant, moi j’habite pile en face de la mer, je n’ai qu’à traverser la route pour arriver sur la plage ! 🙂 Mais je ne peux pas sauter dans l’eau depuis mon balcon, et elle n’est pas à 30 degrés ! 😉

      Dans notre quartier, ils ont éte inspiré par Venise et je te rassure la mer est toute calme ici.
      Oh mais c’est geniale de vivre juste en face de la mer. Le rêve aussi ! 🙂

    En tout cas je te comprends pour la chaleur avec l’humidité, c’est le combo qui étouffe ! C’était pareil lorsque je vivais en Caroline du Sud !

      Oui c’est horrible quand chaleur rime avec humidité. Oh j’en doute pas quand je visite la famille de mon mari dans le Sud des Etats Unis, il fait aussi vraiment très chaud. C’est étouffant et surtout qu’est ce qu’on transpire haha !
      Mais ça me manque presque à côté de la chaleur de Bahrein.

    J’adore ce look de plage! Pour ma part, j’aime beaucoup porter des couleurs claires l’été en particulier du blanc, ce que je ne fais jamais en temps normal ahah!

    The temperature of the sea is crazy! I’m used to going for a dip in the sea and for it to be refreshing, I could never imagine going for a swim and being super warm haha!

  20. This is such a cute beach outfit! specially love the skirt. I usual wear loose skirts that are made with light fabrics (such as linen) in summer with a hair scarf/ribbon to keep my hair out of my face.

  22. That is such a cute outfit in the beach side. Lucky on you to be next to the warm beach, I want to swim in that kind of beach though as what I was used in the Philippines. Here in Australia the beach water is cold though it’s tolerable in summer.

  23. I love wearing my straw hats too Margot, yours is beautiful. Your lucky to have the beach right next you. We are grateful that we have a pool that we can enjoy at these times. Although they are starting to ease restrictions now.
