2019 throwback

Hi guys !

Je suis contente de vous retrouver aujourd’hui pour un nouvel article. Je tenais comme chaque fin d’année à vous partager une rétrospective de l’année passée avec quelques photos. J’ai voulu tester quelque chose de nouveau avec l’apple pencil que j’ai reçu à Noël. J’espère que le rendu n’est pas trop ridicule et qu’il vous plaira. En ce qui me concerne je n’ai pas vu l’année 2019 passée. J’ai l’impression qu’il ne sait pas passé grand chose cette année et pourtant elle a commencé fort par notre déménagement à Bahreïn.  Je suis tout de même heureuse de vous avoir partager plusieurs looks cette année et d’avoir réalisé plusieurs vêtements. Même si j’espère en créer encore plus en 2020 ! Par ailleurs dites-moi ce que vous attendez de voir en 2020 ? En attendant votre réponse, je vous laisse découvrir ou redécouvrir mon année 2019 mois par mois.

I’m happy to be back today with a new article. I wanted to share with you a throwback of the year we just said goodbye to like I do every year. This time I wanted to try something different with the Apple Pencil I received at Christmas. I hope you’ll enjoy it and it won’t look too stupid. About 2019 I can’t believe it’s already done. This year was really fast to me and I don’t feel like a lot of things happen this year even if it started really big with moving out to Bahrain. I’m still happy I shared with you few looks on the blog and I was able to make a lot of new clothes. But I hope I’ll make even more in 2020. By the way let me know what you expect to see on the blog for this new year. Waiting for your answer, I let you discover or rediscover my 2019 year month by month. 

En janvier, nous avons profité de nos derniers moments en Sicile. Un copain était venu nous rendre visite pendant la période de Noël donc nous en avions bien profité pour revoir quelques sites touristiques comme l’amphithéâtre de Taormina ou remonter sur le  volcan de l’Etna. Fin Janvier, nous emballions tous nos cartons direction une semaine à l’hôtel avant de rejoindre Bahrain. Je n’arrive pas à croire qu’en 2019, nous étions encore en Sicile. Ça me parait si loin !

In January, we enjoyed our last moments in Sicily. A friend came to visit us during the holidays so we showed him our favorites places in Sicily. It was really fun to go up again the vulcano and visit the amphitheatre of Taormina one more time. At the end of January we finally packed all our stuffed and said goodbye to our Sicilian house. Then we spent one week at the hotel before to take our flight to Bahrain. I really can’t believe in 2019 we’re still in Sicily. It feels like we left Sicily a really long time ago ! 

En Février, nous avons déménagé à Bahreïn. Je n’avais aucun regret à l’idée de quitter la Sicile au contraire j’étais contente de partir découvrir un nouveau pays. J’étais un peu inquiète de voyager avec nos chats mais tout c’est très bien passé. Je ne reviens pas comment ils ont su s’adapter facilement à un nouvel environnement même si pendant les transports, Minnie a beaucoup râlé. Je me rappelle du moment quand on les a sortit de leur cage pour leur faire découvrir leur nouvel hotel. C’était trop drôle à voir, ils avaient fait le tour de toutes les pièces ! Nous avions de la chance d’avoir un hôtel similaire à un appartement cependant je vous avouerais que le temps était long. J’avais tellement hâte de visiter les logements pour trouver notre nouveau chez-nous. Je pense sincèrement que le Moyen Orient est l’une des meilleures destinations pour trouver des appartements ou villas assez incroyables même si ce n’est pas donné. Nous avions visité de chouettes appartements avec salle de sports, piscine, parfois même terrain de basket intérieur, petite salle de cinéma, plage privée etc.. et des villas bien sympas avec de petites piscines mais nous avons eu un gros coup de coeur pour la maison dans laquelle nous habitons actuellement. On trouve ça tellement chouette de vivre toute l’année face à une eau aussi turquoise. En attendant d’emménager dans notre nouvel maison nous en avions profité pour commencer à visiter Bahreïn. Hubby connaissait déjà certains lieux dont le souk de Manama qu’il a pu me faire visiter. Le 14 Février nous avons donc passé notre cinquième Saint Valentin à Bahrain. Notre petite tradition veut que chaque nouvelle Saint Valentin je reçois une rose supplémentaire dans mon bouquet. J’en suis à 5 !

In February, we moved out to Bahrain. I had no regrets to leave Sicily. I was actually pretty excited to discover a new country but I was pretty worry to travel with my 2 cats. But everything went well. I was surprised to see how easily they get used to a new place even if Minnie was really grumpy when I had to put her in her box during the transports. I still remember the moment when I opened their cage to the hotel room in Bahrain : It was so funny ! There were walking around all the rooms to visit. We were lucky to have a big hotel room similar to an apartment but I’m not gonna lie the time at the hotel was long. I couldn’t wait to find our future home. We visited a lot of amazing places. I think Middle East is really amazing for places to live even if it can be pricey. We visited nice apartments where they had all the facilities in the building : swimming pool, gym and in some of theses apartments : basketball court, a mini cinema, private beach etc.. and we visited nice villas as well with often small swimming poll outside. It was hard to make a choice but since the beginning we had a crush for the house we’re now living in. We’re so amazed by a house located right by the turquoise water. Waiting to be able to move out in our new home, we started to visit Bahrain. Hubby already knew some spots of the city like the souk he showed me around. The 14th February we celebrated our 5th Valentine’s in Bahrain. Our tradition is I get one extra rose in my bouquet for every new year we are celebrating Valentine’s Day together. So far, I have 5 roses in my bouquet ! 

Début Mars, nous étions toujours à l’hôtel mais nous en avons profité pour aller à la comic con de Bahreïn où nous avons vu David Harbour, le shérif qui joue dans Strangers things puis nous avons fait le Bahrain food festival. C’était très sympa !  Et mi-mars nous avons enfin eu les clés de notre nouvelle maison. On avait tellement hâte vous ne pouvez pas imaginer. On est tellement contents de la vue de cette maison. Il n’y’a pas un jour sans qu’on se considère chanceux de vivre dans cette maison car on sait très bien qu’il y’ait peu de chances qu’on ait un jour une autre maison comme celle-ci.

At the beginning of March, we were still at the hotel but we had our fun in Bahrain. We went to the Bahrain comic con where we saw David Harbour, the actor who played the sherif in Stranger things then we went to the Bahrain food festival. It was pretty fun ! Mid-March we finally had the keys for our new house. We couldn’t wait to move in. We are really happy with this house. We love to live just by a lagoon we can just jump in in the water. We feel really lucky to have this house since we are pretty sure when we’ll leave Bahrain we’ll never have a house like this ever again.

En avril, je suis rentrée deux semaines en France pour profiter de ma famille juste après que toutes nos affaires sont arrivées dans notre nouvelle maison. J’étais trop contente d’être réunis avec ma famille. Ce n’est pas tous les jours facile de vivre loin d’eux. J’en avais profité pour refaire tous les coussins de leur canapé avec ma maman. Je crois qu’ils en sont très contents. J’adore le tissu avec les animaux et les tissus en velours ! Ah oui et j’en avais aussi profité pour me couper les cheveux.

In April, I came back in France for 2 weeks to visit my family just after our boxes finally arrived. I had the time to move everything in before to catch my flight. I was so happy to be reunited with my family. It’s not always easy to live far from them. I took advantages of being back in France to help them to re-do their couch. With my mum we sew all the cushions in a different fabric and I think they really like this new couch. I love the animal print and the velvet fabrics we picked together ! Oh and I also cut my hair when I was there. 

En Mai, il a commencé à faire vraiment très très chaud à Bahreïn et ce n’était que le début. L’été est vraiment long à Bahreïn ! Ce mois-ci c’était aussi le mois du ramadan. En journée tout était très calme en particulier dans les centres commerciaux.

In May, It was starting to get really really hot in Bahrain. And yet it was just the beginning ! Summer is really long in Bahrain ! This month it was also the month of the ramadan. In the day it was then really quiet in particular in the mall.

En Juin, je fêtais mes 25 ans et pour l’occasion j’avais créée ma première robe de l’année. J’étais trop contente du résultat. Je l’aime beaucoup. Et mes parents m’avaient offert une jolie combinaison à fleurs qui m’a beaucoup accompagné cet été.

In June, I was celebrating my 25th birthday. For this special day I created my first dress of the year. I was really happy with how it turned out. I really like it ! And for my birthday my parents got me a pretty flowers playsuit I wore a lot this summer.  

En Juillet, j’ai réalisé une jupe à volants dans le même tissu que ma robe et hubby et moi célébrions notre deuxième anniversaire de mariage : nos noces de cuir ! Pour l’occasion je lui avais offert un porte-monnaie connecté en cuir et lui un sac en cuir.

In July I realized a ruffled skirt in the same fabric I realized my dress and hubby and I celebrated our second wedding anniversary. It was our leather anniversary so I bought for him a connected leather wallet and he bought for me a leather bag. 

En Août, j’ai réalisé deux nouvelles robes : Une robe à fleurs orange avec des smocks sur le top et une robe en vichy noir boutonnée devant.

In August, I realized two new dresses : An flower printed one with a shirring top and a black gingham buttoned dress. 

En Septembre, nous partions enfin en vacances. Nous avions choisit la Malaisie et c’était 10 jours incroyables. J’ai hâte de continuer de partager avec vous des articles sur ce voyage. Et avant le départ je m’étais créée un nouveau petit top à  glisser dans ma valise.

In September we finally went in vacations. We picked Malaysia and it was an amazing trip. I can’t wait to continue to share with you more articles about this trip. And just before we went to Malaysia I created this white buttoned top.

En Octobre, il faisait toujours chaud à Bahreïn et j’ai passé une bonne soirée d’halloween avec hubby à regarder des films qui ne font pas peur.

In October, it was still pretty warm in Bahrain and I had a great Halloween night with hubby watching not scary halloween movies. 

En novembre, nous avons été invité à une quinceañara. Pour l’occasion je m’étais créé une nouvelle robe. Et quelques jours plus tard, je suis allée récupéré ma nouvelle bague de fiançailles/mariage. Je l’aime tellement !

In November, we were invited to a quiceañara. For this even I created a new dress. And few days later I went to pick up my new engagement/wedding ring. I love it so much ! 

Et en décembre, je préparais Noël en attendant que ma famille arrive sur Bahreïn. Nous avons passé de super moments en famille à visiter presque tous les lieux touristiques de Bahreïn. De quoi finir l’année 2019 en beauté avec un superbe feu d’artifices à Manama surtout que le début de l’année 2020 a été assez stressant au Moyen Orient.

And in December I prepared Christmas waiting for my family to come to Bahrain. We had amazing moments all together. It was so fun to explore Bahrain with them. We ended up 2019 really good with a beautiful fireworks in Manama. It was nice to end up the year like that because the beginning of 2020 was pretty stressful in Middle East.
