Hi guys !
Today I’m sharing with you a new couple look. Last Friday night we were invited to a quiceañara. We didn’t know what to except as it was our first quinceañara for both of us. It’s a Mexican tradition for all 15 years old girls into their transition to become a woman. the celebration was really beautiful and I thought it was even more moving than a wedding ! So for this special night we planned ahead of time what to wear as we knew it was gonna be a formal evening. Hubby wore a Burgundy suit he gets it done in his measure in the souk of Bahrain. Its at the same place he went 2 years ago to get his suit done for our civil wedding. And like it’s really worth it here he also asks for a second one in a pretty blue fabric. For this suit, we picked a Burgundy color to match the color of my dress. For this outfit, I wanted to make myself my dress. I knew I wanted something girly inn a fuchsia color. At the beginning I wanted a fuschia fabric with sequins but there was no fabrics with sequins in the color I wanted so instead I took a fuschia metallic pleated fabric which still look a little bit shinny. About the model of this dress I’m happy because I successed to make exactly what I wanted. I wanted a short dress with a V neckline and big bows at my shoulders. For the base of this dress I used a Burda pattern I made it shorter and I added the straps I wanted. I’ll tell you more about it really soon as I record all the making of this dress from the sketching to the sewing. I’ll show you this really soon, as soon as the video will be ready, maybe at the end of next week. I hope you’ll enjoy it !
Des bisous, xx
Margot
