Hi guys !
Today I’m sharing with you the first article about Malaysia. I really have a lot of pictures to share with you. I hope you’ll enjoy those. For this first article I’m taking you with me for our first day in Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur. Maybe for the next articles I’ll rather post an article by visit since I really do have a lot of pictures it’ll depend if I have enough or too much for an article as I don’t want to share super long and annoying article haha.
We arrived really early in Kuala Lumpur so as soon as we arrived at the hotel room we decided to take a nap before to start our day in Kuala Lumpur. We picked the ibis and we really enjoyed our stay there. The location was good and in our room we had an amazing view on the city and the petronas tower. After this short nap we decided to visit 2 districts of Kuala Lumpur to start this trip really slow as we’re still tired from our flight. We walked from our hotel to the KLCC area. We had the gps on our phone but it was not hard to follow the Petronas tower as there are the tallest twin towers in the world. We didn’t want to go up theses towers but It’s possible if you pay the tickets for going up. We only stayed a little bit inside the mall located just at the bottom of the tower to find a lunch in the food court. When we’re done eating, we left the mall to a different exit and it was perfect as we were just in front of the petronas tower and the pretty KLCC park. I was so amazed by all the pretty vegetations. I wanted to add the visit of the Taman Negara jungle during our 10 days in Malaysia but I had no regrets since even inside the capital city the vegetations were amazing and it just felt like we’re in the jungle. It’s so different from what we’re used at in Bahrain in the desert.
Then we visited the aquarium which is located just near the KLCC park. Hubby is passionated about aquariums and fishes. At home we have 5 aquariums .. Haha ! So of course we had to visit the aquarium in Kuala Lumpur. At home we have 5 aquariums… I only wished they had a jelly fish area as I loved to watch jelly fishes in aquqrium. I don’t like to see them near me while I’m swimming in the ocean but I find them really beautiful. It’s not the first time I saw tunnels in a aquarium. By the way I think now all the big aquariums have theses kinds of tunnels but this aquarium in Kuala Lumpur had a really long tunnel. It was so cool to stay few minutes inside this really long tunnel and enjoy watching all the big fishes and sharks.
After the visit of the aquarium we walked to an other district : Bikit Bintang to go shopping. I was looking for Zara inside a mall when Surprise ! We found a Marvel exhibition. My husband loves everything about Marvel comics and now I actually love this universe too as we watched all the last movies together. So we’re so happy to visit this exhibition. It was really immersive. We had such a great time. We even were able to make our Avengers ID. How cool is that ? Just like during the visit of the aquarium we’re able to record our visits and I hope the videos turn out well so I’ll shared theses with you Thursday or really soon. When we left this mall we finally found the busy street of Bukit Bintang. It reminds me so much of South Korea with also busy districts I could find in Busan or Seoul. I was so so happy to be back in an asian country !
I wished we could of see the light show by the fountains in front off the Petronas towers but like every evening during our trip we just wanted to go back to the hotel to rest. We walked back to the hotel and I can tell you my feet were really sore after walking so much this in Kuala Lumpur. Fortunately in our hotel we had an amazing pool to cool down. The swimming pool was located at the last floor of the building. We was such an amazing view of the Petronas towers. It was way too cool.
I hope you enjoyed this first article about Malaysia.
Des bisous, xx

Thanks you so much !
Hey Margot, hope you’re having a fantastic week so far 🙂
I always love to see your travel blog post, they inspire me a lot to keep an eye on flights and to plan more trips in the upcoming future.
I don’t know a lot of things about Malaysia but I have seen some blog posts and youtube videos when they tell a lot of good stuff about this country…. wouldn’t mind to go! I have a lot of places of Asia in my bucket list so Kuala Lumpur could be a good place to make a stop!
