How to make a wrap ruffles skirt.

Comme prévu je partage avec vous une nouvelle vidéo où je vous montre toutes les étapes que j’ai effectué pour réaliser la jupe que vous avez vu dans le look de lundi dernier. J’espère que si vous aussi vous voulez réaliser cette jupe, les étapes seront claires.

Tout est détaillé dans la vidéo mais les étapes principales pour cette jupe sont :

  • Coudre une ceinture à la taille puis assembler une bande pour pouvoir nouer la jupe.
  • Ourlet mouchoir sur les côtés de la jupe pour une finition « propre »
  • Insérer une élastique autour de la taille à environ 25 cm de chaque bord de la jupe en ouvrant la couture de la ceinture de la jupe puis en la refermant quand vous aurez cousu sur la ceinture une piqûre pour maintenir l’élastique.
  • Faire des fronces sur deux bande de tissu 1,5 ou 2 x  plus que la largeur de la jupe puis les assembler à la jupe pour créer les volants de la jupe.
  • Finitions ourlet mouchoir sur les volants de la jupe.

Today I’m explaining to you in a video how I made a wrap skirt with ruffles at the bottom. I hope the video will be clear if you also want to realize it yourself.

Everything is explained in the video but the main steps here are : 

  • Sew a waistband and then make a band of fabric to sew to the edge of the skirt to be able to wrap the skirt. 
  • tiny hem to the edges of the skirt for a clean finition.
  • Insert an elastic around the waist at around 25 cm of each edge of the skirt. ( To insert the elastic you’ll have to open the stitch you just made then you’ll close it when the elastic  would be maintain by a stitch on the waistband. )
  • To create the ruffles : Gather 2 bands of fabrics of a width of 1,5 or 2 x more of the width of the skirt to then stitch it to the skirt.
  • Tiny hem for the bottom of the ruffles
