Harry Potter studio

Hi guys !

J’espère que vous passez un bon week end. Je suis trop contente de vous retrouver enfin installer devant mon ordinateur. Nous avons reçu toutes nos affaires et nous sommes enfin installés pour de vrai dans notre nouvelle maison. Enfin presque, car il y’a encore un peu de bazar, surtout dans les pièces que pour le moment, nous n’utilisons pas. 🙂.

I hope you’re having a great week-end. I’m really happy to be back working on my computer. We  received all our boxes few days ago and it’s finally feeling like more like home with all our fournitures and objects back. There is still a bit of a mess in the house but it’s enough organized for now. 🙂

Je rentre en France dans deux jours mais je vais essayer de vous préparer des articles que je pourrais écrire la bas. En attendant, je partage avec vous un nouvel article sur Londres. Cette fois-ci je vous emmène dans un endroit remplit de magie : Les studios Harry potter. 

I’m visiting my family in France in only 2 days but I’m gonna try to prepare for you few articles I could write and post on the blog in France. Waiting for this, I’m sharing with you today a new article of London. This time I’m taking you to a place full of magic : The Harry Potter studios. 

Avant notre séjour, peut-être au mois au préalable, nous avions réservé nos tickets sur internet et je vous recommande de vous y prendre assez à l’avance car pour le jour que l’on souhaitait il n’y’avait plus de créneau avant 16h. Ce n’était pas un problème en soit car s’il faut bien 4 heures de visite, les studios ferment tard. Tout est prévu pour que vous ayez le temps de bien profiter. Les tickets d’entrée sont chers. Je pense que l’on a payé 45 pounds par personne mais vraiment ça vaut le coup ! Pour accéder aux studios Warner Bros tout est très bien indiqué sur le site internet. Il faut prendre un train à la station London euston jusqu’à la station Watford Junction pour environ 20 min de trajet. Puis quand vous arrivez à la station Watford Junction, tout est très bien indiqué pour que vous retrouviez la navette qui vous emmène aux studios Harry Potter. 

Before our trip in London, around one month before we booked our tickets on internet. And I recommend you to do it pretty early because the day we wanted there was no time available before 4 pm. It was not a problem because even if you pick the last hour in the schedule everything’s planned good for you to have the time to visit the studios but I think it’s good to have extra time if you can. I think we paid 45 pounds per person. It’s expensive but really worth it ! To go to the studios it’s well-explained in the website. You have to take a train from London Euston to Watford Junction for a 20 min ride. And then when you arrive in Watford Junction, the indications are everywhere to find the bus to take you to the studios. 

Arrivés sur place avec de l’avance, nous avons tout d’abord visité le magasin de souvenirs pour faire quelques repérages avant la visite des studios. Les vitrines sont très jolies. Puis, nous avons commencé la visite des studios et c’était incroyable ! L’entrée est magistrale mais je ne vous spoilerais rien car j’ai adoré avoir la surprise. Je pense que même des personnes qui ne sont pas fans d’Harry Potter peuvent adorer la visite car en plus de voir un tas d’objets magiques sur l’univers d’Harry Potter, vous en apprenez également beaucoup sur le cinéma. Malheureusement on ne peut pas lire ou voir tous les détails car sinon il faudrait bien une journée entière je pense pour visiter les studios. 

We arrived in the studios a little bit early so before to start the visit we went in the shop to look for what we’ll want to buy after the visit. The displays were really nice ! Then we started the visit and it was so amazing ! The entrance is masterful but I’ll let you have the surprise just like we had. I think even for people who are not into Harry Potter the studios are great to visit because you can learn a lot about the cinema and the making of a movie. Unfortunately you can’t see or read all the details because if you do I think you may need the all day to visit the studios. 

Pendant toute la visite, j’avais des étoiles dans les yeux. Je me croyais vraiment dans Poudlard. J’ai adoré la salle commune décorée pour Halloween avec les citrouilles flottantes. Et j’ai surtout adoré en apprendre d’avantage sur l’univers du cinéma. J’ai adoré comprendre les effets spéciaux, voir les costumes, tatouages, la boîte à cicatrice d’Harry Potter…, les chapeaux de sorciers et sorcières ( J’ai adoré cette partie ! ). C’est incroyable de voir et comprendre que tant de modèle identique de costumes ont été créée pour jouer une seule scène. C’est pareil pour les voitures ou encore le nombre de chouettes pour jouer Hedwige. Le tableau des animaux-acteurs était géniale. Chaque animal-acteur avait son propre caractère ou sa ou ses compétences spécialisées. 

During the all visit I was amazed by everything. I really though I was walking in Hogwart. I loved the dinner room decorated for Halloween with floating pumpkins. And I learnt so much about the cinema It was great ! It was so cool to learn more about special effects, to see the costumes, tattoos or a box full of Harry Potter scars… wizards and witches hats ( I loved this part ! ). It was incredible to see and understand all the same costume they recreated to record just one scene. It was the same with cars or even the animals which were playing Harry’s owl or Hermione’s cat. The board with all the animals-actors on it was crazy. Every animal-actor has its own personality and special skills. 

Bref c’était incroyable de voir tout le travail qu’il peut y’avoir derrière une saga de films. Je ne pourrais pas dire qu’elle était mon passage préféré ! J’ai adoré voir la partie sur les robots, j’ai eu un gros coup de coeur pour le bébé Voldemort haha.  j’ai également beaucoup aimé la partie où l’on voit un bureau avec tous les livres qui ont pu servir pour s’inspirer. Moi qui adore les beaux livres ! C’était incroyable de voir tous les dessins de recherches, les packaging crées pour le film ( J’ai trop aimé les packagings de farces et attrapes de Fred et Georges.) et toutes les maquettes avant la création des plateaux de tournage. Et bien sûr j’ai adoré voir la maquette immense du château qui est juste impressionnante. Mais bien sûr j’ai également adoré pouvoir rentrer dans le train d’Harry Potter, me balader dans la salle commune de Poudlard, la forêt interdite ou le chemin de traverse. Vous l’aurez compris j’ai été enchanté par cette visite. Et pourtant j’avais déjà fait une chouette exposition Harry Potter à Paris il y’a 4 ans avec mes parents et hubby.

Et vous, avez-vous déjà visité les studios Harry Potter à Londres ? 

It was incredible to see all the hard work behind a saga of movies. I can’t tell which part was my favorite but I really enjoyed the part with all the machines and robots. I had a big crush for Baby Voldemort haha ! I also really like the part where you can see a research office full of books to look for inspirations. It’s my dream to have so many beautiful books like this. It was amazing to also see all the drawings of research and packaging created for the movies ( I loved the packagings for Fred and Georges jokes shop.) and all the models especially the huge amazing model of the castle of Hogwart. It was stunning ! And of course I had a lot of fun walking around the main room of Hogwart, the forbidden forest, the crossroad, the train… Well I believe you understand how amazed I was during the all visit. Few years ago there was a temporary exhibition in Paris about the Harry Potter making and I visited it with my parents and hubby but it was nothing compared to the studios in London.

Ah oui et j’étais habillée en Gryffondor même si j’ai fait le test officiel sur le site de J.K Rowling et enfaite je serais une Poufsouffle. Mais en vrai, moi je sais que je n’appartiens ni à Gryffondor, ni à Poufsouffle parce qu’en tant que française, je suis une Beau-Bâton haha. 🙂. Et Hubby était habillé en Serpentard. Il est #teambadguys ! Il s’est d’ailleurs acheté une baguette magique d’un méchant d’harry potter que je vous montrerais dans une vidéo haul que je partagerais avec vous après mon séjour en France. 

Oh and I was wearing a Gryffindor tee-shirt even if I made the official test on J.K Rowling website and actually I’m an Hufflepuff  but in real I know I don’t belong neither to Gryffindor or Hufflepuff because as a French I belong to beau-baton haha. 🙂. Hubby was wearing a Slytherin tee-shirt. He is #teambadguys ! By the way he bought one of the vilain magic hand I’ll show you in haul video I’ll set up for you when I’ll be back from France.
