1st day in London – The classics.

Je suis heureuse de vous retrouver aujourd’hui pour un nouvel article sur Londres avec pleins de photos de notre première journée. Le premier jour, nous étions avec deux amis alors on en a profité pour faire un tour bien toursitique dans Londres.

Im happy to be back today with a new article about London. Today I’m sharing with you a lot of pictures of our first day in London. The first day we were with 2 friends so we had a real touristic day.

On était bien placés, l’hôtel était convenable. Rien de dingue donc je n’ai pas d’adresse logement à vous partager surtout pour nos dernières nuits où nous avions réservé un airbnb. On était déçus car on pensait que c’était l’appartement tout compris et non une chambre privée. Bon ça ce n’était pas grave, c’était de notre faute mais franchement l’appartement et même la chambre n’était pas propre. Je vous épargne les détails mais faites attention de bien lire les commentaires avant de réserver. Pas comme nous.

On the first picture you can see the pretty street where the hotel for our first nights in London was located. The location was great but the hotel ok. I don’t have an adress to recommend for you. Especially for our last nights because the airbnb we booked was a real disappointment. First we thought we booked the all apartment but it was just a private room. Well it was our fault but the all place was dirty ! I’m not gonna give you more details but don’t do like us, check the comments before to book ! Haha. 

Après avoir manger notre premier déjeuner à Sketch que vous pouvez retrouver dans mon article précédent, nous sommes allés nous balader sur Oxford street pour rejoindre Piccadilly Circus et faire quelques photos. C’était vraiment agréable de se balader sur Oxford street de bon matin avec très peu de personnes sur cette rue. Dommage que les magasins étaient à peine ouverts.

After eating our first breakfast at Sketch. (you can look for the article I post a week ago.), we walked through oxford circus to take some pictures at Piccadilly Circus. It was really nice to walk that early in Oxford street. The street was almost empty. Too bad the shops were not opened yet.

Suis-je la seule à être autant excitée quand je vois des écureuils ? Haha.

Then we went in front of Buckingham palace walking trough James Park. Am I the only one who is excited when I see squirrels ? Haha

Nous avons seulement dû payer quelques extras quand nous sommes allés au stade Wembley voir le match de football américain et au studio Harry Potter comme ils étaient hors de la zone de notre forfait. Je pense que c’était rentable de prendre un forfait plutôt que de payer  des tickets de métro individuels. Après Buckingham nous avons donc rejoint  le “tower bridge” pour pouvoir visiter  la tour de Londres. Le prix de l’entrée est assez cher il faut compter une  vingtaine de pound. Mais je ne regrette pas car je voulais vraiment voir les fabuleux bijoux Royals et on a passé plusieurs heures dans la tour de Londres et aux alentours car c’était vraiment très grand. Il y’avait beaucoup de choses à voir.

We bought a one week subway card to only use the subway in London. I think it was worth it. We only paid extra for the Wembley stadium to see the football game and for the Harry Potter studios like theses places were further than the zone we paid in our one week card. It was just few extra pounds to pay. After Buckingham we went to the tower bridge to visit the Tower of London. The entrance ticket is quite expensive, more than 20 pounds. But I think it was worth it to be able to see the royal jewelleries. We spent few hours inside the Tower of London. I was surprised it was that big.   10. I can’t love more this post! London is like home for me and I can’t wait to be back.. I was there 4/5 times and still go around all these touristic places cause they are never enough for me!

  25. Ahhh Londres, c’est une ville tellement chouette 🙂 J’aimerais y amener mon copain un weekend pour son anniversaire, il n’y a jamais été 🙂

  38. Ah quel plaisir de voir ces photos de Londres !!!! Je suis fan de leurs pubs et surtout cette ville je l’aime d’amour, je ne m’en lasserais jamais je crois !!

    Dommage pour la mauvaise experience dans le airbnb !

    En general je loge sur Paddington, la j’etais au Novotel et rien à redire 🙂
