Hi guys !
Like planned, I’m sharing with you some pictures of the 2 museums we visited near Caltagirone.
Ceramic museum in Caltgirone.
The first visit is the ceramic museum in Caltagirone it’s located in the public garden. I think It’s a museum you must visit if you are visiting Caltagirone. For few euros, the collection of the museum is pretty complete. You can discover all the evolution of the ceramic through the years. My favorite part was the little characters. The details were really impressive. They remind me of characters in Zola novels.
Then after the visit of the centre of Caltagirone we drive around 40 min to Piazza Armerina to visit the roman villa of Casale. I really enjoy this visit ! I’m so happy I was able to visit this museum. It’s been a while since I wanted to visit this place and I wasn’t disappointed at all. It was amazing to discover all the beautiful mosaic of this roman villa. The place is pretty big and it’s really incredible to think it disappears for few years before to be rediscover in the beginning of the 19th century. The museum is also well explained. They gave you an explanation for each detail of the mosaic and the presumed rooms.
This ceramic museum looks incredible! I’m seriously amazed by the detailed work!

Hey Margot, hope you’re having a fantastic beginning of 2019! I was off for a little bit but now I’m back to blogging 🙂
It is always a pleasure to take a look at your trips, I still have a lot of places to see around Europe and especially Italy, I feel like this is one of my favorite countries and there is a lot to explore here!
Going to museums is one of my favorite activities, you can get a lot for a few euros as you said (well this depending of the museums, some of them are really expensive haha).
Lovely photographies as usual! You really reminded me of my experiences in Pompeii last summer 🙂
All the best
