Hi guys !
I’m back today with a new travel article. I hope you’re not fed up with my photos from Sicily because I still have few articles to share with you. I don’t know if you remember but last summer a friend came to visit me and we left all 3 together to spend a night out of the house in an airbnb near Caltagirone. ( I can’t find the adress but it was at around 40 min of Caltagirone.) We arrived in the afternoon and we had a lot of fun in the swimming pool. It’s always something I used to look in my airbnb researches in Sicily. Then, we asked the landlord for a restaurant they would recommend and we went to eat a pizza. It was good and we had the chance to have such a pretty sunset.
Then, the day after we left the airbnb to visit Caltagirone also known as the ceramic city. Like always, I didn’t make that many researches for this city and I discovered such a pretty one ! I recommend you to come into the public garden to see this beautiful pavilion and visit the ceramic museum. I’ll share with you more pictures of the museum in a different article along with the visit of the villa romane del Casale, an ancient villa we visited in the afternoon just after Caltagirone. Caltagirone is also the place where you can buy a lot of ceramic objects like the famous traditional Sicilian plates. I came back with a ceramic magnet and a little cute cat in ceramic. Then, we walked further in the city to discover the famous stairs made with ceramic tiles. All the steps are different. It’s beautiful and a little bit sporty to get to the top haha. But the view of the all city is really worth it. I wished the church at the top wasn’t closing to discover an even more spectacular view at the top of the bell tower and the nativity scene we could visit. This city is really artistic. We saw a pretty shop making amazing nativity scene characters so I think the visit of a nativity scene in this city may be worth it.
I hope you’ll appreciate the visit of this city.
Des bisous, xx
Margot
