Best-of 2018

Hi guys ! 

Je suis contente de partager avec vous tous mes meilleurs moments de l’année 2018. Cette année nous n’avons pas beaucoup voyagé. C’est pas toujours évident de prendre des vacances avec le boulot de hubby et même si on partait un week-end dans un autre pays il nous aurait fallu prendre des vacances.. Donc on s’est surtout focalisé sur tous les endroits que nous n’avions pas encore visité en Sicile.  Et puis, pendant de longs mois on ne savait pas où nous allions déménagé en 2019. Pendant un temps, on pensait rester en Sicile pour une année de plus comme nous n’avions eu aucune réponse positive de nouvelles bases militaires dans notre liste de choix . Et puis, je crois que c’est finalement en octobre que nous avons enfin connu notre prochain stationnement. Mais je vous en dirais plus vendredi. En tout cas, cette année a été riches en bons moments passés avec mon mari et également notre famille que l’on a pu visité plusieurs fois cette année. 

J’espère que vous apprécierez mon petit récapitulatif de cette année. 

Today, I’m glad to share with you my best 2018 moments. This year, we didn’t travel much. It’s not always easy to take vacations with my husband’s job. Even if we would of travel out of the country for a week-end he would of have to take vacations. But we had a lot of fun exploring more of Sicily. And for a long moment we didn’t know where we’re gonna move next in 2019. It was kinda stressful to not get pick in any interesting military bases for a while. For few month we thought we’ll stay in Sicily for an other year and finally we had to pick an other decision and fortunately we get picked somewhere I’ll share with you this Friday. I think it’s only in October when we finally find out where we’ll be moving ! I’m not gonna lie it’s not always easy to not be able to plan in the military life. But we still had an amazing year. We had a lot of fun and we’re lucky to be able to visit our family few times this year.

JANUARY

En 2018, J’ai commencé tranquillement l’année en France avec ma famille pour ensuite rentrer à la maison en Sicile auprès d’hubby pour s’offrir nos cadeaux de Noël. On avait préféré attendre notre retour en Sicile pour s’offrir nos cadeaux de Noël entre nous. J’adore cette photo de l’Etna que j’avais prise en Janvier et ce look que j’avais partagé avec vous. 

In 2018, I started the year in France with my family to come back home with hubby for a late Christmas together. We preferred open our presents just between us. I love this picture of the Etna I took in January and this look I shared with you. 

FEBRUARY

En Fevrier, je vous partageais ce look avec mes UGG que j’avais reçu à Noël. Et puis, c’était la période des carnavals. Ma période préférée en Italie. Ça va vraiment me manquer ! Et puis, pour la Saint Valentin j’avais créée cette robe avec cet imprimé coeurs trop mignon. Et bien sûr, j’étais trop heureuse de pouvoir célébrer notre première Saint Valentin en tant que couple marié. 

In February, I was sharing with you this look with the UGG hubby gave me for Christmas. And then it was my favorite time in Italy : The time of carnavals ! It really gonna miss me. And then it was Valentine’s Day and I created this hear printed dress. And of course it was amazing to celebrate our first Valentine’s Day as a married couple. 

 

FEBRUARY – MARCH

Quelques autres looks que j’ai pu aimé partager avec vous entre Février et Mars.

APRIL

En Avril, c’était un peu plus chargé. Nous sommes repartis en week-end à Favignana, une île sur la côte ouest de la Sicile. C’était un super week-end. Nous avons découvert l’île de Marretimo et les escaliers turcs d’Agrigento. Puis mes parents sont revenus nous rendre visite et j’ai pu découvrir avec eux de nouveaux endroits en Sicile et surtout, je suis montée pour la première fois avec ma maman sur l’Etna. Et fin Avril, il faisait déjà bien chaud pour pouvoir me baigner pour la première fois de l’année. 

In April we’re more busy. We spent a week-end in Favignana, an island in the west coast of Sicily. In 2017, we enjoyed this island way too much so we had to go back there. Then we discovered the island Marretimo and the Turkish steps of Agrigento. My parents came to visit us for an whole week and I was able to visit new places in Sicily. I went for my firs time on the Etna with my mum. And at the end of April it was hot enough to swim for the first time of the year in the sea. 

 

MAY

En mai, il commençait déjà à faire bien chaud en Sicile. J’ai pu partager avec vous quelques looks d’été. C’était également la période de nouveaux festivals. Nous avons fait le festival des fleurs à Acireale et notre festival coup de coeur au même endroit, le festival de gelato ! 

In May it was already starting to be hot in Sicily so I was able to share few summer looks with you. It was also the time for others festivals like the flowers festival in Acireale and our favorite festival of the year : The gelato festival. 

 

JUNE

En Juin, juste quelques jours avant mon anniversaire, je suis partie passée une journée à Paris pour accompagner et guider la femme du chef de mon mari. J’étais trop heureuse de revoir la tour Eiffel et surtout j’ai eu la chance de dormir dans un super hôtel dans le marais. Le petit déjeuner était beaucoup trop bon ! Puis peu de temps après mon anniversaire, nous sommes partis aux Etats Unis pour rendre visite à la famille de mon mari. 

In June, I spent one day in Paris to show the wife of my chef’s husband around. I was so happy to see again the Eiffel Tower. And I had an amazing experience in such an amazing hotel. I never slept in a hotel that fancy. The breakfast was a dream ! Then few times after my birthday we travelled in US to visit my husband’s family. 

 

JULY

En Juillet, on célébrait notre premier anniversaire de mariage, nos notes de coton. J’aurais aimé pouvoir voyager en Inde mais dans notre prochaine destination ce sera encore plus près de l’Inde et surtout moins cher. Donc aucuns regrets. Ce ne sera que partie remise. Ensuite, j’ai une amie qui est venue me rendre visite avant que je ne rentre en France pour visiter ma famille. Je suis montée tout en haut de l’Etna et c’était surement l’un de mes moments préférés de l’année. Ensuite on est partis tous ensemble en week-end pour visiter Caltigirone et un palais romain tout en mosaïque. Je vous partagerais bientôt sur le blog. C’était super ! 

In July, we’re celebrating our first civil wedding anniversary. It was our coton anniversary. I wish we could travel in India but where we are moving next it’ll be closer to India than from where we are now in Sicily. So sometimes I think it’s just for the best to be patient. Then, I had a friend who came to visit me and I was able to go higher on the Etna. It was amazing ! and at the end of her trip we left all together to visit Caltagirone and a roman palace. I can’t wait to share this trip with you on the blog. 

 

AUGUST

En Août, on accueillait notre deuxième petit minou, Pumpkin. Et je suis rentrée en France pour passer un peu plus de deux semaines avec mes parents en France. Bientôt vous allez retrouver les mêmes vignes sur mes photos de look enfin des vignes sans feuilles haha. 

In August, we adopted Pumpkin, our second kitty. And then I went home in France to spend few weeks with my family. Soon you should see the same backgrounds in my look pictures ! 

 

SEPTEMBER

En Septembre, j’étais de retour en Sicile pour profiter des dernières chaleurs. J’ai reçu un nouvel objectif pour mon appareil photo qui m’a permis de prendre en photos les flamants roses ! 

In September, I was back in Sicily. I had a new lens for a camera so I was able to take the flamingos in pictures and it makes me sooo happy ! 

OCTOBER

En Octobre, j’ai eu une jolie robe pour le navy ball puis nous sommes partis à Londres. Je vous partagerais bientôt sur le blog plus de photos de notre séjour. J’ai été voir mon premier match de football américain et nous avons bu une bonne bière au beurre dans les studios Harry Potter. 

In October I had a pretty Dress for the navy ball and then we left for London. I’ll share with you soon a lot more pictures of our trip. I went to see my first American football game and we had a good butter beer during our visit to the Harry Potter studios. 

OCTOBER – NOVEMBER

DECEMBER

Et pour finir avec décembre, un joli mois de Noël. Nous avons réussit à prendre une photo tous les 4 avec nos deux minous et un ami est venu nous rendre visite. On en a donc profité pour enfin visiter Erice. Je vous en parlerais plus sur le blog et je suis remontée en téléphérique sur l’Etna mais cette fois-ci avec hubby et nous avons eu droit à un superbe coucher de soleil ! Un jour après l’Etna était en éruption et nous avons eu un tremblement de terre en pleine nuit qui je dois l’avouer m’a un peu effrayé.

In december we had a nice Christmas. We were able to take a family picture with our 2 kitties and a friend came to visit us. We finally visited Erice. You’ll see more on the blog soon. We had a nice day on the Etna, one day just before a new eruption and few days before an earthquake. It was not that big but I’m not gonna lie I was pretty scared to feel it in the middle of the night. 

Vous n’aurez pas mes bonnes résolution pour 2019 car je n’en prends jamais. Je préfère vivre au jour le jour et profiter de chaque instant même si j’aimerais plus lire, manger plus sain et faire plus de sport ! Mais j’espère que cette année sera remplis de chouettes moments et de voyage avec hubby. On verra ce que le prochain chapitre nous réserve. 

You won’t read my new resolution for 2019 because I never take any. Even if well I should read more, eat more healthy and work out more. We will see what’s next for us. But I had an amazing year with my husband. I can’t wait to see what’s next for us.
