Navy ball 2018

Hi guys ! 

Il y’a presque deux semaines, j’ai pu porter une jolie robe pour le navy ball. Comme vous le savez peut-être, hubby travaille dans la navy. Pendant longtemps je ne l’ai pas mentionné par ici mais aujourd’hui je n’ai plus envie d’avoir de tabous. Et comme ça vous comprenez mieux notre vie d’expatriés où pourquoi aujourd’hui on habite en Sicile et demain, dans un nouveau pays. D’ailleurs dites moi en commentaires si ça vous plairait d’en savoir plus sur notre vie militaire. Je serais ravie de répondre à vos questions ou de vous partager un article à ce sujet. 

Donc tous les ans, la navy organise un navy ball, une cérémonie pour fêter l’anniversaire de la navy. C’était mon troisième navy ball avec hubby. Je me rappelle notre premier navy ball quand j’étais fière d’être sa « date » au tout début de notre relation en Corée du sud. Hubby ne voulait pas y participer en Sicile et finalement son chef lui a payé sont ticket d’entrée alors forcément il ne pouvait pas dire non. Moi, j’étais juste contente de pouvoir porter une jolie robe. On ne porte pas une robe de soirée tous les jours. J’ai eu beaucoup de chances car je n’avais que deux semaines pour trouver ma robe. Je l’ai commandé sur asos et par chance je l’ai reçu juste deux jours avec le Jour J. Qu’en pensez-vous ? C’est la première année que j’ose une aussi jolie robe dont je ne suis pas sûre de reporter. Mais je pense m’en servir un jour pour me déguiser en Anastasia haha ! En tout cas j’était trop contente de porter cette robe, je l’ai trouvé magnifique. Forcément j’ai voulu prendre quelques photos avec hubby avant la cérémonie. Je suis désolée les photos sont loin d’être superbes. On les a pris à la dernière minute devant notre porte d’entrée. Il pleuvait et surtout la nuit commençait à tomber. On devrait avoir une jolie photo prise par un photographe mais à ce jour on ne l’a pas encore récupéré dans le magasin. C’était une jolie soirée, on a beaucoup dansés et surtout on a gagné une go pro ! Normalement on devrait l’inauguré à Londres 🙂 Je ne me rappelle pas une année pendant cette soirée, sans que l’on est gagnés à la loterie. Je ne suis pourtant pas de nature chanceuse, hubby me jure que lui non plus. Alors je pense qu’on est juste un couple chanceux. 🙂

Almost 2 weeks ago I could wear a pretty dress for the navy ball. Like you may know hubby works for the navy. For a long time I didn’t mention it here but now I just want to share everything on my blog. And like that you may better understand our expatriated life. Today we’re living in Sicily and in few months in an other country. By the way let me know if you would like to learn more about our military life. I’ll be happy to answer your question or post an article about this subject. 

So everyyear, the navy organize a ceremony to celebrate its anniversary. It was my third navy ball with hubby. I still remember our first navy ball when I was just his date at the beginning of our relationship in South Korea. Hubby didn’t want to go to the navy ball here in Sicily but he didn’t get the choice. Me, I was just so happy to be able to wear a pretty dress. We can’t wear an evening dress everyday ! I was really lucky to receive it because like we’re not supposed to participate I only ordered my dress 2 weeks before the navy ball. What do you think about it ? It’s the first year I dare an evening dress like this, when I’m not sure I’ll be able to wear it again. But I think I could use it to dress up as Anastasia one day haha. I really love this dress. So of course I wanted to take some pictures with hubby. Im sorry if the pictures are not great. It was a bad location just in front of our door as the weather was pretty bad and it was getting dark. We should have a pretty picture from the photographer who was available during the ball but we don’t have it yet. It was a nice evening.  we danced a lot and we also won a GoPro ! We should inaugurate it in London. We’re so happy, I think we are such a lucky couple because I can’t remember a year at the navy ball without winning at the lottery. I’m usually not a lucky person and hubby swore he is not neither.
