Je vous retrouve pour la suite de notre première journée dans l’est de la Sicile par la visite d’un autre parc archéologique, celui de Selinunte.

Today, I’m sharing with you the following of our 4 days trip in the East of the Sicily. After the visit of the valley of the temples in Agriento, we continued to the temple of Selinunte.

La vallée des temples d’Agrigento est plus réputée que le parc archéologique de Selinunte et pourtant j’ai préféré Selinunte. Pourquoi ? Parce que j’ai été déçu de ne pas pouvoir rentrer à l’intérieur des temples et de devoir rester derrière la barrière à Agrigento. Certes, il y’a plus de temples à voir à Agrigento que Selinunte ça n’empêche que j’ai préféré pouvoir me balader entre les colonnes. ☺

The valley of the temples of Agrigento is more famous than the archeologic park of Selinunte and yet I prefered Selinunte. Why ? Because when I was in Agrigento I was too disappointed to not be able to see the inside of the temples and be “stuck” behind the gate. There are more temples to see in Agrigento than Selinunte but I still prefered Agrigento. It was to fun to take pictures between the columns.

Par contre, le parc est très mal indiquée. On voyait un autre temple au loin alors on a continué vers sa direction pendant surement 30 minutes par de petits chemins où il y’avait personne voir 2 autres couples qui s’y sont également aventurés. Plus tard, on a compris qu’il y’avait un accès routier pour accéder au deuxième temple… Sans regrets, on était contents de notre balade. Il y’avait également d’autres sentiers et d’autres ruines archéologiques à voir après ce deuxième temple mais c’était tellement mal indiqué que l’on n’a pas trop osé continué.. Et puis, on avait la route retour à faire à pieds !☺

However, the parc is not well indicated. We saw an other temple far away so we decided to become adventurers and follow the ways to get there. For around maybe 30 minutes of walk we only met like 2 others couples. Later, we understood it was possible to take the car to get there… But we didn’t get any regrets it was a good walk. After reaching the second temple, we discovered more ways but like it was not well indicated we didn’t follow all the roads because we’re not sure how long it’ll take us and we didn’t want to take too tired because we still had to do all the way back to the entrance of the park by walking ! ☺

A la fin de notre première journée “temples”, nous nous sommes dirigés vers San Vito lo Capo avec de superbes plages et paysages pour retrouver notre Airbnb qui était situé tout près de la rue commerçante et des plages de San Vito lo Capo. Parfait pour trouver un restaurant et pour se prélasser sur la plage.

At the end of our first day of “temples”visit, we drove until San Vito lo Capo to discover our Airbnb. San Vito lo Capo is amazing for beaches and others great landscapes. Our airbnb was well located, just near all the restaurants and the beaches. It was perfect to have dinner and discover the beach just after dropping our suitcases.
